a day in the jive.

October 18, 2011

5:30 am – alarm goes off
5:45 am – alarm goes off again
6:00 am – alarm goes off, die a little inside, fall out of bed *thud*
6:15 am – curse hair, iron clothes
6:30 am – baby cries, officially running late
6:45 am – out the door and on the road
6:55 am – realize it’s pitch black dark outside and proceed to continue dying inside
7:05 am – roll into work, arriving in parking lot 30 seconds before the boss
7:15 am – author a text reading “is it 5 yet?”
7:16 am – internally debate whether I know anyone who may be up that early
7:16.5 am – discard text
10:00 am – run to the store to purchase groceries for potluck day
11:00 am – eat too much potluck
11:15 am – regret eating any potlock, gah
12:00 am – run to post office
3:00 pm – receive word that baby had a great day at school….yes….but no nap…nooooo
3:15 pm – zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz OH YES I have that report right here….somewhere
5:00 pm – CEEEYAAAHHHH
5:30 pm – begin cooking
5:45 pm – still cooking
6:00 pm – LET’S EAT
6:05 pm – judah refuses pan fried chicken and fresh corn off the cob
6:30 pm –  instead partakes in turkey lunch meat and applesauce
6:31 pm – pat myself on the back for a job well attempted
7:00 pm – bath time!!
7:05 pm – daddy leaves for his workout
7:15 pm – search frantically for bleach
7:16 pm – scoop poop out of shower drain
7:17 pm – finish dying inside
7:30 pm – nigh night time for Judah
7:45 pm – sit down….breathe….relax….relearn how to pronounce first name
8:00 pm – yeah not so much mom….waaaaahhhhhh
8:18 pm – reflect and decide I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
