I so badly want to be British.  I know I have often said that when I speak to myself….or stare off and daydream…or….answer the phone….I’m very often doing so with a British accent.  Madonna often picks up a lot of slack concerning the fact that since moving to England and marrying a Brit and having mixed Brit babies,  she has picked up the most amazing mixed Brit accent.  I want that!  Below I have a listed a series of words and phrases that someone just needs to give me an excuse to use:

“I won’t be attending tea tomorrow Shamus…I’m on holiday for the weekend”
“Blimey”…..or…. “Bloody Hell”
“She lives on the dodgy side of London….bloody hell”
“We just moved to a new flat….Hugh Grant lives in my loo”
“I forgot to put on my knickers….bloody hell”
“blimey….I’m feeling a bit peckish”
“this blog is rubbish…..”       “bloody hell”

I love their sense of humor and lack of humility.  I love their wit and history and Imogen Heap.  I love their literature and that they can say “I’m attending university in the fall”.  All I get to say is “I have class”….when in reality…I do not (at least not in the most literal sense of the word).

Maybe some day I will move to Europe and get a Maddona accent and eat crumpets.  Or maybe I’ll just start saying “bollucks” and people can just eat my shorts for being a poser.

Wow. Have you considered seeing a therapist? “Bloody hell?” That’s your favorite one, isn’t it! And did you just say you want to be like Madonna? BLOODY HELL!
